DayHold (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, including our website and operator dashboard. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please do not use DayHold.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide directly
- Account information: Name, email address, business name, and password when you create an operator account.
- Business settings: Working hours, service offerings, pricing, service area ZIP codes, and other configuration data.
- Payment information: We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your full payment card details. Stripe collects and stores payment data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Information collected from customers (via your booking page)
- Customer name, email address, phone number, and vehicle information provided when making a booking.
- Service address and location data used to calculate scheduling and routing.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data such as pages visited, features used, and time spent in the application.
- Device and browser information, IP address, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8 below).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the DayHold platform.
- Process bookings, collect deposits, and manage scheduling on your behalf.
- Send transactional emails including booking confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices.
- Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and platform updates.
- Improve the platform through analytics and usage data.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information or your customers' personal information to third parties.
3. Sharing with Third Parties
We share data with the following service providers who help us operate the platform:
- Stripe: Used to process subscription payments and customer deposits via Stripe Connect. Your payment and payout data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps Platform: Used to validate addresses, calculate drive time, and display location data. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Resend: Used to send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations). Emails may include customer name and booking details.
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Data is stored securely in accordance with their security practices.
We may also disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DayHold, our users, or others.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you cancel your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes (such as financial records related to payment transactions).
Customer booking data (names, emails, addresses) is retained for the duration of your operator account and deleted upon account closure. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data.
- Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

7. Cookies
DayHold uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze how the platform is used. Session cookies are essential for the platform to function and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies may remain on your device until you clear them.
You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the platform.
8. Children's Privacy
DayHold is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and by sending an email to your registered address where required by law. Your continued use of DayHold after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
